GARLIC CHICKEN PASTA

GARLIC CHICKEN PASTA

Garlic Chicken Pasta is a speedy and simple go-to feast that is tasty and family amicable. This formula requires only 30 minutes and can without much of a stretch be adjusted to suit a low carb or gluten free eating routine, if necessary.

Ingredients

Chicken

1 pound chicken * cut into bite size pieces

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon butter

Creamy Garlic Pasta

1 tablespoon butter

6 cloves garlic * minced

1 shallot * minced

4 cups water

1/2 teaspoon salt

16 ounces angel hair pasta

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese * shredded

fresh parsley * optional, garnish

Instructions

Chicken

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the butter to a large, deep skillet over medium high heat and add the chicken.
  3. Cook the chicken until it's golden brown and no longer pink in the center, about 5-7 minutes. Remove to a plate.

Creamy Garlic Pasta

  1. Melt the butter in the same skillet used to cook the chicken.
  2. Add the garlic and shallot and cook until just softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the water, salt, and pasta. Raise the heat to bring to a boil.
  4. Cook the pasta until it's al dente, about 4-6 minutes. The water should be absorbed, but if any remains, drain it out before moving onto the next step.
  5. Add the heavy whipping cream and cook a minute or two until hot and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  7. Stir the chicken back in and toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley, if desired.
